New Ideas SC Contest

South Carolina's Business Idea ContestNew Ideas SC Logo

In 2006, New Carolina and partners launched South Carolina's first ever business idea contest.

Now called  New Ideas SC, the contest was started by New Carolina Board Member and Nelson Mullins Shareholder Bobby Pearce and Kristin Badger Walker, then head of the FastTracSCĀ® program. Now run by the Charleston Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by SCLaunch, the contest is in its sixth run. New Carolina remains a huge supporter and part of the planning team.

The contest encourages innovation in South Carolina, promotes Entrepreneurship and the FastTracĀ® business training programs, helps South Carolinians develop their ideas into viable businesses, and connects entrepreneurs and innovators with venture capitalists, banks, businesses, government and education leaders.
